New Talent Contest
ORANGE PRESENTS CAPRICES NEW TALENT CONTEST 2012
After passing several steps of qualification, eight groups have the chance to shoot a video on the basis of a live performance, which will make them enter the last and final phase of voting. After this phase, the winner will have the chance to perform on the Main Stage of the Festival as opening act of an internationally renowned artist.

CAPRICES NEW TALENT CONTEST DIFFERENT STEPS
STEP 1: Band registration online from January 15 until mid-February. Each band creates an artist profile in which it incorporates tracks, photos and videos. Artists profiles and artistic contents are directly visible to visitors from mid-January and open to vote.
STEP 2: 1st stage of voting (mid-January to mid-February). Visitors can vote for their favourite band. 6 bands will be selected by the jury and 2 by the public, according to the online votes.
STEP 3: First selection (mid-February). The jury selects six bands and the public two, the eight bands shoot a video directed by Canal 9 (made of 2 or 3 songs) in Sierre, and in presence of the jury (mid-February, duration 2 days). A special Canal 9 show LED will be shot during this stage of selection.
STEP 4: Second stage of voting (early March). The videos made in February are posted online and a new round of voting takes place (in March) to designate the public’s favourite, whilst the winner of the 2012 New Talent Contest will be selected by the jury.
STEP 5: Each finalist will be invited to perform live during a Canal 9 TV show. ( March-April )
STEP 6: The two bands will play at the Festival, the winner selected by the jury will perform on the Chapiteau stage as opening act of a world-renowned artist, and the public favourite will perform on the Barakazik stage. Furthermore, a special Canal 9 TV show will be realized on the winner of the New Talent 2012.
